Most short-bed trucks will not be able to close the tailgate unless the bike is small enough. For precise fit information, see "Will my bike fit with the tailgate closed?" in our FAQ. You may also be able to close your tailgate if you mount your bike with the rear wheel and turn the front wheel to the side.
If your tailgate needs to stay down, our Tailgate Boss can keep it from bouncing when transporting.

Adds multiple positioning options. Not compatible with closed bed rails like Honda Ridgeline, Rivian R1T, Hyundai Santacruz, etc.
