Bed Cover Adapter

Bed covers extend into the truck bed and will interfere with the rack’s default position. To ensure a proper fit, you’ll need the Ford Ranger Bed Drop Brackets, which lower the utility track slightly to allow clearance.

Closing the Tailgate

Most short-bed trucks will not be able to close the tailgate unless the bike is small enough. For precise fit information, see "Will my bike fit with the tailgate closed?" in our FAQ. You may also be able to close your tailgate if you mount your bike with the rear wheel and turn the front wheel to the side.
